Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement department at The London Clinic, based at our head office site in London (W1G 6BW). We are offering a competitive inclusive salary for this position starting at £60,000 inclusive per annum.
Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities, and circa 1350 employees where we are dedicated to providing our patients with expert, individualised treatment and care. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 150+ patient beds and 10 operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre and two minimally invasive/day surgery theatres. Speciality areas include, General surgery; ENT; Gynaecology; Neuro-spinal; Orthopaedic; Plastic and reconstructive; Robotic; Urology; Vascular & Weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery).
The Procurement team provide professional procurement expertise, advice and services across the organisation ensuring value for money is achieved, whilst fundamentally supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. Procurement includes:

The Clinical Procurement Specialist will maintain a close working relationship with the core Purchasing and Supply Chain team to provide an effective Procurement service. This will include working with Procurement Business Partners, as required, in tendering/RFQ's and contract management across the London Clinic.
The Clinical Procurement Specialist will be required to maintain a personal knowledge base, which reflects current research and development, and disseminate information, where appropriate. The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with clinical colleagues to ensure that patient safety is ensured and risks are minimised through best practice and by the procurement of products that are evidenced based. Through the development of these relationships the CPS will liaise with decision makers and end-users to help identify new schemes in pursuit of cost reduction objectives.
The post holder will develop, manage and report on an agreed work plan and savings plan and will take the lead on a number of projects by facilitating trials and evaluations of products which will provide the London Clinic with clinical, safety and/or financial benefits; Job Type:

Salary:
The attractive inclusive salary for this role starts from £60,000 inclusive per annum, and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Work closely with the Head of Procurement, Supply Chain & Inventory Manager and Senior Team members to achieve the objectives of both the department and the London Clinic to deliver a world class service
Liaise with senior managers to ensure that all aspects of competitive tendering, purchasing best practice and supply chain management are complied with at all times.
Develop a resource & project plan that meets the needs of the Category Management Strategy, associated sourcing strategies and operational Workplan. Responsible for ensuring that all procurement processes are compliant and mitigate the risk of challenges from suppliers. In the event of a challenge be able to respond appropriate to suppliers, able to justify contract award decisions and escalate appropriately.
Statistical and data analysis skills.
Risk assessment / analysis & incident reporting.
NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) current registration with extensive registration experience
Ability to effectively manage and successfully deliver a number of projects of varying complexities with competing timescales, where stakeholder availability and input are critical.
Ability to understand technical, procedural or legal risks and issues of various levels of complexity which require consistent and compliant advice or practical resolution either independently or collaboratively as appropriate
Able to work on a number of projects or pieces of work simultaneously and deliver to agreed deadlines, despite likely conflicting pressures from various stakeholders.
