About Kindred We are Kindred. A B Corp certified, independent PR and comms agency delivering positive change. For us, positive change is serious business. We believe strong purpose and strong performance aren’t mutually exclusive. We work with brands and organisations that want to achieve both. We create campaigns that have the power to improve the lives of people, strengthen communities and enhance the wellbeing of the world.
Take a look at some of the work we do: www.kindredagency.com.
Our values: We win or we learn – You have freedom to experiment and permission to fail. We like winning a lot more than we like losing but we accept that learning from our failures is a step on the way to success. We’re brave in championing change – Change should be embraced rather than feared. It requires us to be ambitious with our ideas and courageous in delivering them. We look for opportunities outside of our comfort zones. We have each other’s backs – You can be yourself here. We respect, support and trust each other. If we need to, we’ll drop what we’re doing to help a teammate out. We are one team. We succeed as a team and we fail as a team. We value honesty – We respect, support and trust each other. That’s why we’re honest with ourselves and each other. We know this is what it takes to be the best we can be. We assume permission – Everyone here has a role to play in building something special. Follow your curiosity. Be proactive. Work hard to turn good into great and great into greater.
About the role: We’re looking for a passionate, creative-minded Account Director to join our social media team. You’ll be a creative thinker with a keen eye for detail who can bring fresh ideas to the table. A social media fanatic (if you’re chronically online, please apply now!) who can spot trends and articulate how they could work for our clients. You’ll have experience working in an agency, or be able to demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple projects. You’ll inspire the team and agency with your creativity and entrepreneurial approach.
Responsibilities: Senior day-to-day contact for clients, responsible for directing and leading campaigns from creative brief to implementation and delivery, with low-level involvement from team leads. Accountable for client service and quality control across your client portfolio – provide client counsel and lead the team in meetings and presentations, building strong client relationships, building trust and adding value. Social media expertise – strong understanding of social media platforms and their functionality, including organic and paid formats. Strategic planning across paid and organic social – using insights and best practice to develop social media channel and content strategies and ensuring they’re adhered to by the team.
Content planning – you’ll support the Account Managers and Account Executives to write well-crafted, strategic content plans, understanding the difference between ongoing BAU social content development and specific integrated campaigns. Influencer marketing – planning and executing influencer marketing strategies, including devising influencer campaign ideas, identifying and negotiating talent, managing the briefing and creation process, and securing client approvals. Finance, project management and account management – proactively managing budgets and timings for content creation, production, influencers and paid social, updating cost-trackers, timelines and reporting back to team leads. You’ll be organised and able to ensure the smooth running of social media production projects and shoots on time and within budget, with support from the team lead. You’ll work with your team leads to develop costed proposals for clients and ensure your accounts run profitably.
New business and organic growth – playing a key role in creds and new business pitches using your experience and expertise in social media. You’ll have the ability to make your presence felt, instil confidence, and add value to new business meetings and presentations. You’ll identify opportunities for growth on existing accounts and work with your team lead to upsell Kindred’s offering. Team management – championing best practice across your teams, taking an active role in supporting, teaching and inspiring junior members of your team. This role is likely to have line management responsibilities.
