With a focus on creating engaging and affinity-driving social media and blog content that ensures NCS is starting or involved in all the right conversations with our Gen Z audience enabling us to become a notable Youth Culture media brand. By continually developing new ways to bring the brand to life through owned channels, the Social Media Content Manager will develop content that not only matches audience interests but is aligned with NCS branding and tone of voice.The successful candidate will be a social native with a passion for content and building/engaging online communities and influencers in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube on a daily basis. They will understand the importance of a feed and the story that the feed can tell. Key activities Owning the creation and curation of our monthly, scheduled BAU content plans for the blog, making sure they align with the social strategy and audience interest, coming up with activations, briefing them in, providing feedback to the creative team and delivering on our owned channels. (With support from the Senior Digital Marketing Manager where required) Support the Senior Digital Marketing Manager on all owned campaigns and agency liaison Ensuring all social media content is scheduled with accessibility best practices implementedWork with the digital marketing agency to develop and maintain a robust SEO approach, optimising our significant content ecosystem to drive traffic, views and engagement from our young people audience. (With support from the Senior Digital Marketing Manager where required) Integrating UGC into the NCS social media channels where appropriateSupport on managing relationships with external social tools and platformsSupport on training any Executives, Digital Apprentices or Youth Advisory Board members in community management or contentPreparing the weekly social media performance reportPreparing the monthly owned creative reporting for social and the blogSupport the digital team with website edits when necessaryRole specific skillsCreating incredible real-time and planned content that taps into the youth mind set and engages our audienceLiaising with the Social Media Manager - Engagement to identify content opportunities that are both planned and reactiveEnsuring all content is delivered and where required delivered or maintained out of hoursTo produce visual assets (images, gifs, video etc) that can be used across NCS’ social media channelsEnsuring that the influencers we work with are appropriate, representative of NCS’ ethos, diverse in terms of representation and content style, of varying sizes (nano, micro, midi, macro) and deliver value for moneySupporting where necessary on daily community management on our owned channels, across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Google Business and our ads (plus helping where required out of hours)To remain abreast of industry trends, digital developments and competitor activity, using this insight to inform our content development on social mediaMeasures of successNCS’ consumer social channels are producing highly relevant content to start conversations and engage new audiencesHigh levels of engagement on consumer social channels and our website inc the blogWe can analyse campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing and social advertising campaignsAll relevant areas of the organisation are consulted in the creation of content to meet the wider business objectivesExperience & QualificationsEssential:Proven and relevant experience working in a content management role for a consumer brand or agencyA proven track record assisting and managing social media accounts demonstrating a record of creative achievementsExcellent understanding of Social Media Platforms, including but not limited to;Snapchat, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and ThreadsGreat communicator in both written and verbal form with impeccable copywriting skillsA digital native with a natural curiosity and creative flairStrong organisational skillsBasic video and photo editing skillsA positive and conscientious self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentDesirable:Experience using Sprinklr or other social media scheduling toolsAdobe Suite experience inc, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere ProExperience working with youth brands or teen contentPR / Crisis management experience Our benefits include28 days annual leave in addition to Bank Holiday entitlements.5 Volunteer daysEnhanced Maternity/Paternity/New parental (Subject to 1 year of service) payLife Assurance24/7 access to an Employee Assistance ProgramAccess to a self-directed learning and development platformAccess to a national discount platform, shared with one family memberDiscounted Eye CareCycle to work schemeYou can request flexible working immediatelyWell being daysAll NCS Trust employees have a basic check as a minimum.
