At Social Value Portal, we lead the market in social value measurement and reporting. Since our launch in 2014, we have unlocked over £39bn in social value, providing user-friendly online tools and a comprehensive social value framework. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Social Value Coordinator to join our team.

Why You'll Love This Role

Location: Hybrid working with 2 days in Rotherham Council’s offices

Manchester or London office – 1 day a month

Contract: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term with potential for extension.

Salary: £28,000- £32,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities for the Social Value Officer:

Engage and Inspire: Lead market engagement events to showcase how social value will be integrated into tenders.

Innovate and Update: Develop and refresh tender templates, tools, resources, and internal guidance.

Connect and Collaborate: Link existing provisions to contractor commitments, working with teams like Employment Solutions, Job Centre Plus, and Voluntary Action Rotherham.

Train and Empower: Train procurement staff and council officers to evaluate social value submissions and build delivery confidence.

Guide and Support: Provide expert guidance to Procurement Professionals within the Rotherham Together Partnership.

What You Bring:

A passion for social value and a proactive, self-starting attitude.

Strong data analysis skills and experience with Excel and CRM platforms.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.

Experience in project management, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
