Job Title: Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team
Location: Wigan
Hourly Rate: �38.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team in Wigan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families by providing tailored support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Implement and review care plans to ensure they meet the individual needs of children and promote their well-being and development.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to children and their families, addressing any challenges and facilitating access to services.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including education, health, and voluntary sector partners, to deliver integrated support.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including child in need and child protection conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Offer support and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in working with children with disabilities and their families within a statutory setting.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children with disabilities.
