Duties
- The MACH team receives referrals from various sources, including schools, hospitals, police, social workers, and concerned individuals.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine the level of risk to the child's safety and well-being. This includes gathering information, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and assessing the child's immediate needs.
- The team prioritises cases based on the level of risk, ensuring that children facing imminent danger receive immediate attention.
- The MACH team acts as a central hub for communication and collaboration between various agencies
- The team facilitates the sharing of information between agencies, ensuring that all relevant professionals have the information they need to provide the best possible support to the child and family
- The team develops joint plans for intervention, ensuring a coordinated approach to supporting the child and family.
- The MACH team may provide early intervention support to families to address potential issues and reduce the risk of harm to children. This could involve linking families to support services or providing guidance and advice.
- The team manages cases, coordinating services and ensuring continuity of care for the child and family.
- They advocate for the child's best interests, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met during the assessment and decision-making process
- The team actively participates in training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge in child protection, safeguarding, and multi-agency working.
- They contribute to raising awareness about child safeguarding issues within the community
- The team regularly reviews cases to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as needed.
- They gather data on case outcomes to inform quality improvement initiatives and ensure the effectiveness of their services.

Education and requirements:
- Degree in Social work
- Registered with Social work England
- 2 years post qualifying experience
