Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Worker Manager to lead our Children with Disabilities Team. The successful candidate will oversee children with complex health needs and disabilities who are subject to Child in Need Plans. This role includes the supervision of a team of Social Workers and Family Help Keyworkers to ensure that children and families are supported to meet outstanding needs. You will provide management oversight and direction for assessments and plans, and respond to any crisis situations that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Supervision:

    • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Social Workers and Family Help Keyworkers.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, provide supervision, and ensure access to professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Case Management and Oversight:

    • Oversee and manage complex cases involving children with health needs and disabilities subject to Child in Need Plans.
    • Provide guidance on assessments, case plans, interventions, and best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant legislation.
  • Crisis Management:

    • Respond promptly and effectively to any crisis situations.
    • Coordinate with other services and stakeholders to provide immediate support and intervention.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and families during crises.
  • Advocacy and Support:

    • Advocate for the rights and needs of children with disabilities and their families.
    • Work closely with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate services.
    • Develop and implement individualized service plans.
  • Program Development and Evaluation:

    • Contribute to the development and evaluation of programs and services.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance service delivery.
    • Collect and analyze data to report on program outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Extensive experience working with children with complex health needs and disabilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community.
