Job Title: Social Worker - Permanence Team
Location: Oldham
Hourly Rate: �35.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Permanence Team in Oldham. This role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to securing stable, long-term placements for children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments to determine the best permanence plan for children, including adoption, long-term fostering, and kinship care.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans to ensure they meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to support the permanence process.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to children and their carers throughout the permanence planning and placement process.
  • Participate in and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including panel meetings and care planning reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Offer support and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in permanence planning, adoption, or long-term fostering within a statutory setting.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, carers, and professionals.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
