Eden Brown Synergy has exciting opportunity for a Social Worker with an interest to join a Multi-disciplinary team providing mental health services in a low secure, rehabilitation and acute inpatient setting supporting women.

The Social Worker would have experience gained in the NHS or Private managing complex caseload, social care assessments and family-focused work that support and optimise involvement and collaborative solutions.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team the Social Worker would support women with severe mental health illness, personality disorders, learning disabilities, ensuring positive outcomes through their care pathway. The Social Worker would be mainly would be working in the Acute ward however be required to have oversight of service other areas.

The Social Worker will build positive and professional working relationships, whilst focusing on personalisation and recovery to make positive, self-directed change. The Social Worker will provide guidance to other team member

Key Responsibilities: (and not limited to)

  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services
  • Participation in and Provision of 1:1 supervision
  • Reporting to safeguarding agencies and regulatory bodies
  • Attending Safeguarding meetings with Local Authorities
  • Educating hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters.

To be considered for this role the Social would need:

  • A Social Work Degree with an active Social Work England Registration
  • At least 12 months UK direct Social Work experience,
  • Experience within mental health in-patient settings including, Acute services, PICU, High Dependency and Secure Forensic .
  • Strong knowledge of relevant MH legislation, MAPPA, the process of MP, MHRT, CPA and associated reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong assessment and care planning abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative MDT.
  • Excellent understanding of Safeguarding requirements and duty to refer to external agencies.
  • A Driver's License (full UK) with access to a Vehicle-Willing to undertake home risk assessments
