We are currently partnered with a Mixed Secondary School based in Harrow, North West London who are actively seeking a Sociology Teacher to join them on a Long Term basis, with a permanent role being an option if preferred.
The school have embarked on a pursuit of excellence and are committed to the lives of young people within their community around Harrow. They have achieved an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted and are keen to build on this in the coming years. The successful candidate will:
Be able to plan and deliver engaging Sociology lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Participate in extracurricular activities and initiatives to promote a love of Sociology within the school community.
Be able to stimulate interest and enhance student understanding of sociological concepts.
Assess and monitor the progress of students, providing constructive feedback and support where possible.
Collaborate with peers to continue to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
This role will require:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience as a Sociology Teacher, teaching to secondary school students in the UK
Comprehensive knowledge of the UK curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
