**Software Analyst** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

Our client, a leading investment banking firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Writer to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for producing high-quality technical documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce clear and concise technical documents, including requirement specifications, user guides, process documentation, and various technical manuals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and understand complex concepts in order to translate them into user-friendly documentation.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, for documentation and presentations.
  • Demonstrate application development skills in MS VB or MS VBA.
  • Utilise MS SharePoint to organise and share documentation.
  • Apply financial experience and a strong understanding of financial concepts to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Analyse data and code to ensure accuracy and translate it into clear and easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Exhibit an understanding of Object-Oriented programming to effectively document technical processes.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in .NET, C#, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Proven experience in producing high-quality technical documents in the finance industry or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in utilising Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, for documentation and presentations.
  • Experience with MS VB or MS VBA application development.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS SharePoint for document organisation and sharing.
  • Ability to analyse data and code to translate complex information into clear documentation.
  • Prior programming experience and interest in reading software code.
  • Quality-oriented and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in technical environments and a willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
