What you'll do
You’re joining a team that’s passionate about the customer vision and simplifying our core lending journey. Aligned to our ‘Expand my Business’ customer goal, you’ll be working with your colleagues to deliver the technology strategic roadmap, while ensuring the right balance between our business goals and building future technology, at the right cost.
You’ll be working on programme level environment build and release support activities, working within an agile scrum model. You’ll work closely with the DevOps team to find new paths and help teams adopt new tools and technologies. You’ll be working on platform systems, understanding the testing requirements to convert into an environment build.
You’ll also:
- Respond and escalate stakeholder queries
- Run and execute incident management calls to resolve issues arising from platforms
- Help to maintain high environment availability, liaising with external teams for service restoration
The skills you'll need
You’ll need a strong background in software engineering, software design or database design and architecture, as well as extensive experience of developing software in a SOA or micro-services paradigm. You should have development experience in Java Microservices and experience of using industry recognised frameworks, DevOps tools and AWS cloud based technology.
You’ll also need:
- Knowledge or experience in environment related function and activities
- Experience in access control, code and artefact deployments, change management, as well as source and version control management
- Extensive knowledge on data power, ESB
- Extensive knowledge on rightsizing environments and optimising environment usage for costs
- Experience with CI/CD such as Gitlab, Teamcity, Artifactory, DART, Consul or UCD
- Working experience on tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Splunk
- Knowledge on UNIX shell scripts, and scripting languages such as Python
