Software Development Engineer in Test Initial 6 month contract Inside IR35Hybrid working out of London offices Purview are currently recruiting for a Software development engineer in test on an initial 6 month contract. The end client for the role is based within the financial services. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through designing, developing, and executing automated test suites. Responsibilities may include:Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure testability of features.Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to validate software functionality.Identifying and reporting software defects in a clear and concise manner.Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to developers on potential quality issues.Setting up test environments and configuring test data as needed.Analysing test results and providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders.Contributing to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.Keeping up to date with industry best practices and tools in software testing.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.Proven experience in software development and/or software testing.Proficiency in Java.Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Experience using Cucumber in essential Perform unit testing via automation scripts. Experience with Behaviour Driven development
