To develop real-time safety critical embedded software, to execute within a passenger car or commercial vehicle Electronic Control Unit, controlling the Powertrain or after-treatment equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating embedded C code, usually using MATLAB Simulink & Stateflow diagrams, to construct control methods
- Integration of Unity (Plastic) SCM or IBM Rational ClearCASE with manually and automatically generated C code into a single application
- Static analysis of C code in accordance with local rules and MISRA standards using QAC
- Software Integration Reviews and Testing
- Using commercial software for in-circuit debugging (Lauterbach)
- Using data acquisition systems over CCP (e.g. INCA, ATi) for calibration and debugging
- Verification of C code via peer review, electrical test bench, and analysis of Unit Test results
To be suitable for this role you must have the following Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:
- C programming language
- Using Activity Management tools (e.g. ClearQUEST, Jira)
- Developing real-time safety critical embedded software
- Using CAN tools (e.g. CANalyzer)
- MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow
