Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer within our ranks, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the renewable energy sector while advancing your own professional journey.

Responsibilities:


  •  Develop functional automation software programs that are easy to follow, and fault find.
  • carry out in depth software testing with the commissioning team to ensure the repeatability and reliability of the system.
  • Use your garnered knowledge to train and advise the Junior Software engineers on best principals and guidelines. Attend client meetings and be comfortable representing the company when face to face with clients.
  • Work closely with the site-based engineers and commissioning engineers to continuously improve our standards and help the design team to view their projects from multiple perspectives, including maintenance and decommissioning.
  •  Build a clear image of the existing processes and offer improvements and suggestions.
  •  Aid the commissioning team during pre-FAT and FAT with any Software related issues.
  • Complete lifecycle management of PLC-based control systems, encompassing design, documentation, development, testing, and commissioning.

Requirements:

- Minimum of HND in Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.

- 5 years of hands-on experience in conceiving and implementing software on PLC based systems

- Astute analytical and problem-solving expertise with meticulous attention to detail.

- Exceptional communication aptitude for effective collaboration across teams and for presenting

intricate technical insights.

- Agility in adapting to evolving project requisites and performing well under pressure.

Pay

The salary banding for this role is £35,000 to £54,000 and is based on an applicant's Skills, Training and Competence.
