Software Engineer

Our client, a leading aerospace company are looking for a Software Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. Responsibilities:Overseeing the design, development, and upkeep of the internal analytical tool, Systems Information Exploitation (SIE)Collaborating with suppliers, third parties, and internal stakeholders to gather and address various requirementsMaking a significant impact on both UK and international navies by minimizing equipment failures on warships, reducing breakdowns, and cutting associated costsRequired Skills and Experience:Proficiency in back-end software development using Java 11+, including Maven and unit testingA mindset geared towards analytical or systems thinking, utilizing evidence-based decision-makingProven experience with system integrationFamiliarity with continuous integration systemsAbility to work effectively within a larger team comprising diverse skill setsA degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience
