Due to continued growth my client in Newcastle is seeking a Software Engineer who specialises in control systems.Duties of the Software Engineer job based in Newcastle include:• Working closely with others as part of a team developing a Battery Management System• Leading and supporting code reviews • Develop and document coding practices• Develop software specifications Key skills and experience for the Software Engineer job based in Newcastle are:• Experience of Battery Management Systems (BMS) algorithm development using embedded C and/or SIMULINK• Experienced at embedded software and firmware development• Embedded communication protocols such as CAN bus, SPI and I2C• Familiar with C# for GUI development is desirable • Background in battery management systems, control, drives, automotive or motor control applications.
