As Engineering Manager, your job ismake sure the multidisciplinary software engineering teams have everything they need to deliver a fantastic product to customers and clients, and that everyone understands the product roadmap and business objectives. That means aligning architecture and technology roadmaps and ensuring were building the right features and capabilities (knowing what good looks like) at the right time.
An Engineering Manager who has plentiful experience of:
** Managing managers (tech leads) and therefore management of teams of teams is key.
** Experience of working in high growth fast paced scale up environment
** Past experience in a hands-on engineering role
** HAVE worked across both regulatory and non-regulatory sectors.
**Excellent communication skills with experience working with all levels of business.
** A background of leading / managing teams of Engineers writing business critical/complex solution in polyglot / opensource languages (Golang, Python, PHP and Java)
**Manage teams capacity, estimation to ensure the team is able to provide an appropriate view of work and suggest potential completion dates.
**Any experience within finance, banking or retail finance of interest but NOT essential.
