Role: Software Engineering ManagerSalary: £70,000 - £85,000Location: Birmingham (Remote)

This is an opportunity to work not only on flagship legacy software but drive innovation in the latest additions to a constantly growing software suite.Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a technical team to meet business objectives.Product Development: Oversee development, enhancement, and maintenance of both legacy products and new systems.Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality output and adherence to coding standards.Agile Practices: Act as Scrum Master, coaching the team in agile methodologies and ensuring compliance with the Scrum process.Hands-On Contribution: Participate in development tasks, including feature implementation, enhancements, defect fixes, and legacy code porting.People Management: Conduct appraisals, set objectives, and manage team performance.Process Improvement: Collaborate to refine and improve the development process.Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and challenges.Stakeholder Reporting: Provide progress updates and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.Key Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 2 years managing an Agile/Scrum team.Technical Background: Senior-level experience in software development, preferably with Microsoft .NET.Agile and Scrum: Proven Scrum Master experience and strong understanding of agile principles.Product-Led Development: Experience in a product-led environment is desirable.Soft Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and motivational skills.Commitment to Quality: Dedication to process improvement and high standards of output.Continuous Development: Commitment to ongoing team skill development.If you are looking for a new challenge where you can implement change and make a difference, get in touch now to apply!
