About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is proudly partnering with an ambitious, motivated and growing business in the UK's Solar sector. They're a dynamic, forward-thinking and proactive business who have strategic and realistic plans to make significant waves in the UK's commercial and industrial solar space.
This Solar Electrician / Electrician role comes with a starting salary of circa �38,000 plus overnight allowances, mileage covered and ongoing development.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Assisting the leading electrician in installing full solar PV systems in the commercial and industrial environment
• Coordinating with the mechanical team to ensure perfect cable management and penetration sealing
• Assisting the mechanical side of the project with the racking for the panels
• Ensuring perfect health and safety practices on site
• Installing systems from a size of 20kw at the very smallest to (up to) 1MW at the very highest
• Helping to wire, test and complete the systems
• Assisting with any communication with the client on site, deputising for the Lead Electrician when they aren't there
• Travelling outside of area for business need, spending up to a week away at a time if absolutely necessary (with nightly allowances if this is the case)
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• Level 3 in electrical installation
• Working towards test and inspection 2391, or at least the desire to do so
• Ideally working towards AM2 and ECS Gold card
• Any solar experience is a huge preference
• UK driving licence
