This niche award-winning business within the Banking/Payments space is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to take a key role in defining and delivering software and solutions architectures that supports the development of their Java & API platform.This is a varied role where you'll have capability to work closely with the business, product and development to ensure everyone is on the same page working towards architecting successful solutions. Responsibilities of a Solution Architect – Financial Services include:Architectural designs encompassing the target solutions architectureArchitecture delivered against requirements for security, scalability, performance and availabilityDriving quality through adoption of standards and best practiceBuilding close working relationships with engineering & the wider technology groupLeading architecture & design reviews throughout the whole Development lifecycleSupporting product management, defining and refining solutions architecture to support new product capabilitiesSkills and experience of a Solution Architect - Financial Services:Ability to design & implement end-to-end application and technical architectures for highly concurrent, real-time transactional systemsExperienced in conceptual, application, integration, logical and physical modellingExperience of analysing and implementing solutions to meet both functional and non-functional requirementsExperience of producing low-level software architecturesDeep Java, API & Microservices backgroundExperience across modern architectural / delivery standards and methods including Agile, TDD, BDD, CI/CD automation, DevOps practicesAbility to build and develop relationships across all levels of the businessExperience and appreciation for the Payments Industry is preferred but not essentialIn return you will be rewarded with between £90,000 - £105,000, an excellent working environment and benefits which includes a generous Bonus.If you think you could be a good fit for this role and you have the relevant skills needed to become a successful Solution Architect - Financial Services send your CV across ASAP!
