What is the role (Role Description) Reporting into the Head of Architecture, you will be responsible for delivering world-class solution design and architecture for several revenue generating business domains within BB2. within BB2. You will demonstrate top-notch problem-solving and analytical skills grounded in years of practice within modern cloud-native ecosystems leveraging modern tools for solution design - including programming languages, databases, message brokers and cloud runtimes within a fast-paced FinTech. You will have strong experience designing, developing, and implementing revenue-generating solutions (including property finance, investments, credit cards) in an international financial organisation that are robust, scalable, and secure. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure our banking solutions meet business requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Who you are (Skills, Experience and Qualifications) Have worked in medium to large teams and has relevant experience within Solution Architecture Have an in-depth understanding of programming languages, databases and cloud ecosystems particularly with AWS runtimes like Kubernetes Have experience in working in a fast paced Fintech environment with a proven track record in delivering great technical solutions Be comfortable with ambiguity and embrace this as an opportunity to draw upon previous experience to provide and beam clarity to the rest of the technology and business organisation Have a deep appreciation and understanding for technology wide constraints and mandates with a keen eye for managing these within solution designs Have experience designing solutions within both greenfield and brownfield environments working closely with business SMEs Have worked with Enterprise and Information architects to ensure adherence to the technology key principles Strong understanding of techniques for solution design and architecture Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What you will be doing (Responsibilities) Be responsible for the Analysis and Architecture of transactional banking solutions within BB2. The business domains will include (but will not be limited to): 1.Property finance 2.Wealth Management and Investments 3.Credit cards Have a solid understanding of as-is Solution and Technical Architecture with a view to test and modify it as per need Provide support, consultation and guidance to the rest of the tech teams to unify solution design and architecture Ensure all cross-functional aspects for solution delivery including compliance, security, governance, adopted as well as company-wide best practices are considered Collaborate with technology leadership to define and document the domain architectural strategy and be central to assuring services Continually research the Fintech landscape, current and emerging technologies and promote Solution innovation within the organisation Keep a radiator of issues with current technical solutions with a view on future solutions Assess the business impact various technical choices have and ensure trade-offs are well documented Architecture and Engineering values We pride ourselves on creating a culture of technical excellence We encourage knowledge sharing amongst the team and believe continuous learning is critical to everyone s success We have a relentless focus on productivity (we actively cancel meetings that don t add value to the team s goals) We take a pragmatic / best practice approach to solving problems We value incremental processes over high-risk big-bang and other traditional waterfall methods We empower and encourage everyone to continuously improve our platforms, people and processes We are not currently able to provide sponsorship for this role #J-18808-Ljbffr
