Job Description Solution Architect Circa £115,000 Remote working La Fosse is partnering with a leading household name e-commerce brand, supporting them as they seek a talented Technical Solutions Architect to join their dynamic tech team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding technical decisions and supporting strategic goals through your expertise in technical design and input. As a Solutions Architect, you will be a key contributor to our mission of enhancing the buying and selling experience, making it safer, simpler, and more enjoyable. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance and support to approximately 60 team members across 6 different teams. Collaborate with leadership to provide technical insights and design strategies that align with business goals. Define the technical direction, target architecture, and technology stack, ensuring they fit into the overall strategic plan. Engage in team and departmental discussions and presentations to disseminate knowledge and technical details. Serve as a technical leader, assisting with design, planning, and occasionally working hands-on alongside engineers. Drive change through influence, coaching, mentoring, and effective communication. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proficient in Java (versions 11-17), GCP (preferred, but AWS or Azure also considered), Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, microservices, event-driven architecture, and Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns. Knowledgeable in frontend technologies (ReactJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, JavaScript) and their role in the broader ecosystem. Skilled in understanding platform and infrastructure interactions, communication flows, and the critical components of platform architecture. Experienced with managed cloud services, cloud-native applications, and cloud-based services. Proactive in identifying opportunities and managing risks. Forward-thinking, creative, and innovative. Adaptable to changing circumstances and able to pivot direction as needed. Proactive and critical thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset. Strong communicator and collaborator, valuing teamwork and shared knowledge. Understands system dynamics and the factors influencing system behavior.
