HR Systems Solution Architect / 6 month contract / Start 22nd July / INSIDE IR35Our client, an Advertising Agency, is currently hiring for a HR Systems Solution Architect, who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining effective and efficient HR systems and solutions within an organisation. This role combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of HR processes to ensure that the HR systems support the strategic goals and objectives of the HR department and the organisation as a whole. This role will work hand in hand with the Corporate Functions Lead Business Architect.As we progress on this journey, we are seeking a Solution Architect on a 6-month contract basis to lead the technical implementation and optimisation of a new enterprise-level HR and employee engagement platform.Your expertise in HR systems and deep understanding of enterprise software solutions will be instrumental in designing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that maximise the effectiveness of the platform to meet our business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design:Collaborate with HR stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to understand business requirements and design scalable and integrated HR system solutions. Develop architectural blueprints, system diagrams, and technical specifications to guide the implementation and integration of HR systems.Develop and maintain architectural documentation.Platform Optimisation:Ensure the platform is set up for optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.Develop strategies to maximise the effectiveness of the platform within the organisation.System Integration:Ensure that the system architecture aligns with the Architecture Strategy, industry best practices and compliance requirements. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate HR systems with other enterprise systems, such as payroll, finance, and talent management.Identify integration points with existing systems and design solutions for seamless data flow.Ensure interoperability and compatibility between different systems and platforms.Configuration and Customisation:Oversee the configuration of the new platform to meet organisational needs. Ensure the platforms setup aligns with business requirements and performance standards.Develop and implement configuration strategies, scripts, and tools.Project Management:Provide technical leadership in project planning and execution.Estimate costs, effort, and timelines for solution implementation.Coordinate with project managers and other teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.Data Management:Develop and implement data management strategies, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with data privacy regulations. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate HR systems with data sources and third-party applications, enabling seamless data flow and reporting capabilities.Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.Present architectural solutions to stakeholders, explaining trade-offs and rationales.Serve as a technical advisor and provide thought leadership on technology trends and best practices.Technical Leadership:Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.Quality Assurance:Conduct architectural reviews and audits to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and robust.Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.Governance and Compliance:Ensure solutions adhere to architectural standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.Skills that will help you in the roleTechnical Skills:Strong proficiency in software architecture principles and patterns.Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, specifically focused on HR systems in a large international company.In-depth knowledge of HR processes and practices, including HRIS, talent management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.Strong technical skills in HR systems and technologies, such as HRIS platforms, cloud-based solutions, integrations, reporting tools, data analytics, Identity and SSO platforms (e.g. OKTA)Familiarity with databases, networking, and security practices.Analytical Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Ability to analyse complex problems and propose innovative solutions.Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.Leadership Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience (5+ years) in a Solution Architect role or similar position.Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Relevant certifications in HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud) are highly desirable.AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF) are desirable.Start date: 22nd JulyDuration: 6 month (potential extension up to 9 months)Location: Mainly remote, but ideally can come to London from time to timeRate: Depending on experiencePLEASE NOTE: This role is likely to fall inside IR35.
