Harvey Nash is delighted to be partnering with a leading logistics and supply chain organisation to recruit a Solutions Engineer/Continuous Improvement Engineer for their Operational Development team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

This organisation has recently secured a significant statement of work, with operations ramping up for this client alongside an existing portfolio of clients that continue to require leading logistical solutions.

As a result, our partner requires a Solutions Engineer to provide support in the end-to-end design and implementation of innovative solutions that will address operational challenges for a large logistics supply chain. This role involves collaborating with new and existing clients to implement these solutions and consistently deliver new products.

The ideal candidate will support with creating, documenting new ideas and initiatives with the opportunity to initially lead on smaller projects/products, collaborating with teams across the business to ensure these solutions are viable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the operations roadmap, priortising decisions on projects and allocating appropriate time and resources to meet deadlines in line with the business strategy
  • Design and implement operational solutions end-to-end, such as node infrastructure or products that will develop into network-wide solutions.
  • Experience with solution design, costing, and mapping processes.
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with clients as well as across the business, including teams such as IT, Product, Marketing, Change, and Commercial.
  • Understanding Operational Cost Model and continual improvement and utilisation for efficient solution cost optimisation.
  • Experience working in logistics and supply chain business would be advantageous.
  • Must possess a Full Valid UK Driving Licence and be able to travel.
