Sous chef - Country inn - £32,000 + service charge live in available

Salary: £32,000 + service charge
Hours: Permanent, Full time - 5/7 , 44 hours a week
Shifts : Any 5 days out of 7
Location: Arundel area must be able to drive or live locally or live in ( low cost)
An experienced Sous Chef is required for this beautiful Country inn located in Arundel area. They offer fresh food and popular Sunday roast as well as catering for weddings , events and conferences.
If you are sous chef with experience or a chef de partie looking to progress do not look further!
Live in accommodation is available at £40 p/w
Duties include:
Helping the Head chef to develop seasonal menus moving forward
* To take all responsibility for all elements of the kitchen including preparation, cooking and presentation of food to agreed standards.
* To set and maintain standards.
* To ensure the kitchen is kept in a clean tidy and hygienic state.
* Responsible for maintaining a good margin on food by controlling waste, ordering, portion control
* To liaise with customers, to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for.
* To respond to feedback from customers and amend menus as appropriate.
* To receive training that is necessary to maintain and improve the standards of the establishment.
* Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the organisation
What You Need to Be a Successful Chef:
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
* Creativity and keen interest in food and cooking
* Strong communication skills
* Good management skills and a strong leader
