Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to work in their new and exciting countryside pub based just outside of Haywards Heath, the pub has been completely renovated with over 1 million pounds of investment, which includes a brand-new modern kitchen.
The vision for the pub is to produce high quality pub classics, alongside more refined dishes where the Chefs will get to express themselves. As the Sous Chef you will be responsible for running the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and heavily involved in menu development managing the team.
This is an amazing opportunity for an energetic and ambitious Sous Chef that wants to make a name for themselves and take their career to the next level. Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a similar environment is essential and any suitable candidate must have at least 2 year's experience at this level, where they have be part of managing a team in a busy environment.
As well as being part of managing the day to day running of the kitchen you will also be responsible for the following -
Helping manage GP to maximise profitability
Involved in the training & development of the team
Ensuring that stock rotation is followed, and all storerooms, fridges and freezers are in order, temperature records are kept and food labelling is up to date
Helping develop new dishes
Ensuring that guests receive a memorable experience
