What will your key responsibilities and duties be:
Prepare and present each meal that is a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. You will be turning our high standards into memorable meals for each one of our guests.
Assist the Head Chef with the ordering of products for all sections of the kitchen by using our inhouse procurement system.
Ensure that your dishes are prepared as per company guidelines, reducing wastage where possible.
Know your menus and products, as our guests or colleagues may ask questions about ingredients, allergens and provenance.
With the Head Chef, develop new dishes that ignite the imagination, whilst following company guidelines on costs and GPs
Direct daily kitchen activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers.
Ensure that our Team Members are compliant with Food Safety guidelines in relation to recording documents, storage and temperature control.
recruit, engage and retain our colleagues through effective performance management, and to assist with the daily admin according to company policy and procedures.
What we are looking for:
Experience in a busy kitchen as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef de Partie or any other similar roles, ideally from a branded hotel background.
A good understanding of food safety.
Great admin skills, for completing all those health & safety/food hygiene tasks.
Understanding the needs of managing a team on a daily basis..
Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and bank holidays;
