We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our client in the Cotswolds. Our client, a pub with rooms located on the outskirts of Cirencester, is part of a growing collection which offers excellent training and progression opportunities within the group. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in various aspects of kitchen operations.
In this Sous chef position, your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in maintaining high-quality food production and ensuring a positive guest experience. Progression and Development opportunities

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head Chef to create menus and develop innovative dishes
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards ensuring timely and consistent execution
Supervise and train kitchen staff on culinary techniques, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
Monitor food inventory and control costs by effective portion control and waste management
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all health and safety standards
Assist in managing kitchen operations during service, ensuring smooth workflow and prompt delivery of food orders
Support the Head Chef in managing food quality by conducting regular inspections and maintaining high standards

Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar establishment
Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred
Strong knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and culinary trends
Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards under pressure
