The Gingerman: A Brighton Institution The Gingerman is a beloved institution in Brighton, nestled within the charming Norfolk Square. This popular restaurant has been delighting diners with its modern European cuisine since 1998, and has received many awards and accolades over the years.
About you:
This is a role that doesn't come around often; we're looking for a talented dynamic sous chef to support our head chef in leading one of Brightons best and most well known restaurant kitchens.
You will have at least 2 years experience as a jr sous chef or similar, in a busy all fresh restaurant cooking and preparing food to a high standard.
Be confident with costings, ordering and general kitchen management, including training junior chefs and kitchen porters.
Have good communication and a keen interest in food and a basic knowledge of wine and drinks etc.
Be enthusiastic and keen to put the effort in; this is a small kitchen with nowhere to hide!
