Job Description

Step Teachers are working with a school in Torrington that are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Teacher, to join their dedicated team on a maternity cover role. This role involves teaching Spanish up to Key Stage 5, offering an exciting opportunity to inspire students and foster a love for language learning. This role is expected to start immediately or in December 2024.

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students at various levels.
\n
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing timely feedback to support their development.
\n
• As a Spanish Teacher you should foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for languages.
\n
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
\n
• As a Spanish Teacher you need to participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
\n
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and language-related events within the school community.
\n

Spanish Teacher Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
\n
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages and culture.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
\n
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
\n
• As a Spanish Teacher you should have experience teaching Spanish at KS3 up until KS5 level.
