We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting students with a range of additional needs, creating tailored learning plans, and working closely with other staff and parents.

• Title: Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher
• Pay: £157.66 per day minimum (Paid to scale)
• Location: Canton, Cardiff
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

The school is looking for a SEN Teacher

• Is an excellent classroom practitioner who continually strives to improve the teaching and learning that occurs within their classroom
• Demonstrates high expectations of themselves and of children to ensure all pupils reach their potential
• Create a stimulating learning environment to engage, motivate, and educate pupils effectively
• Work with a wide range of stakeholders including parents, carers, school staff, governors, and other professionals
• Demonstrate excellent positive behavior strategies
• Be able to work as part of a dedicated team providing insight and supportHave excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Use innovative materials and resources such as ICT to enhance pupil learning
• Represent the school's values and ethos

The candidate: What you'll need to be a successful SEN Teacher

• At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions made for NQTs)
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
• Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
• References covering the last two years (no gaps)
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• The right to work in the UK
