Monday to Friday,

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Special Needs Resource Base Support Assistant to join a large, fast-paced school with a supportive and ever-growing friendly team. The successful candidate will be working in the Special Needs Resource Base, supporting students with a range of additional needs.

About the Role:
This rewarding position is based in a large, fast-paced school that is committed to providing high-quality support to students with special educational needs. You’ll be working within a dedicated resource base, supporting students who may have learning difficulties, autism, and other special educational needs. With a supportive team around you, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these young people, helping them to engage in learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a variety of additional learning needs.
  • Assist with classroom activities, helping to create an engaging and supportive environment for all students.
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence, offering support in academic and social settings.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Assist with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring the needs of all students are met.
  • Provide support with personal care and daily activities when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in education or childcare, ideally supporting children with special needs.
  • A proactive nature, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for working with young people and making a real difference in their lives.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive nature, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with special needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in education or childcare who are looking to develop further in the field of special education.

If you're eager to work in a supportive, friendly team and make a real impact, this could be the perfect role for you!
