Special Needs Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
  • Support Learning: Assist in the educational and social development of students with special needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Personalised Care: Provide personalised support, adapting activities and materials to meet individual learning styles and needs.
  • Encourage Independence: Promote the development of self-confidence and independence in our students.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor Progress: Track and report on student's progress, ensuring they are meeting their educational goals.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.

  • Education: A relevant qualification in special education, teaching assistance, or childcare is preferred but not essential.
