\nAre you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with autism? Join Richmond & Wandsworth Better Service Partnership's Autism Advisory Service and play a vital role in supporting children with autism, their families, and education settings.
\nAbout the Role You will work collaboratively within a multi-agency Advisory team under the direction of the Head of Service. Your role will involve supporting education settings to meet the needs of children with Autism (ASC) and Social Communication Disorder (SCD). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality training, providing intervention programmes, and supporting staff.
\nEssential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
\nUK qualified status and registered with the HCPC.
\nExtensive knowledge of Autism Spectrum and its impact on communication development.
\nExpertise in assessment and therapeutic interventions such as PECS.
\nExperience in operational caseload management for children with ASC.
\nSpecific Duties and Responsibilities
\nSupport education settings in developing communication-friendly environments.
\nProvide specialist advice and high-quality training to practitioners, families, and multi-agency professionals.
\nDeliver evidence-based intervention programmes for children at home and in educational settings.
\nSupervise and support multi-therapy assistants and Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists.
\nCollaborate with professionals to provide a multi-agency approach to assessment and intervention.
\nContribute to statutory processes, including Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA).
