About the Role:
Long Term Futures is seeking an enthusiastic individual to take on a dual role as a Teaching Assistant and Sports Coach in a large secondary school in Waltham Forest.

This unique role combines general TA responsibilities with a focus on supporting the school's sports team and delivering high-quality PE lessons. The ideal candidate will have a strong sporting background, the ability to engage students across a range of activities, and a commitment to promoting health, fitness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students across a range of subjects as a Teaching Assistant, helping them to engage with their learning and achieve academic success
  • Work closely with the PE department, assisting with lesson planning and delivery
  • Lead small group sessions or whole class activities in various sports, ensuring students are engaged and challenged
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and resilience through high-quality sports coaching
  • Assist in the organisation of school sports events, extracurricular activities, and team training sessions
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong sporting background with the ability to deliver high-quality coaching across a range of sports
  • Previous experience working with secondary school students, either as a TA, coach, or in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff
  • A proactive, energetic, and adaptable approach to work
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

Additional Information:

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday
  • Paid up to �110 per day, term time only
  • Based in Waltham Forest, London
  • Immediate start, for a long-term placement
