SQL Database Administrator

Areti have partnered with a Financial Services company who are on the look out for a talented Infrastructure Engineer, the business are really evolving their whole technology approach and want someone who can join them on that journey.Role: SQL Server DBA Location: Remote Salary £40 – 55kOn Call Rota (Extra £5k per year) They will consider a less experienced candidate who is looking to grow/develop in to the role or someone who has all of the expertise for a number of years.Experience required:Demonstrable experience in a similar role.Strong skillset in Microsoft Azure platforms and hybrid system integrations.Knowledge of Azure Container platforms, and the management of Container-based applications.Experience administering SQL Server databases including backup, optimisation and performance troubleshootingStrong PowerShell automation and scripting skills.Knowledge of Azure DevOps best practices, release management and CI/CD software deployment methods.Thorough understanding of Cybersecurity principles and experience in implementing security features across infrastructure and cloud systems.Microsoft M365 management and security, which must include Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.Strong skillset in desktop and application management using InTune.Excellent knowledge and experience of managing infrastructure, desktop and application virtualisation platforms, such as Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop and the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of their underlying concepts.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments.Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of basic networking concepts.Ability to work autonomously, creatively and efficiently to resolve complex technical problems.Work effectively with system vendors, external companies and managed service providers.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams of people.If you are interested in the role please get in contact immediately
