Responsibilities and Duties:
The job holder is responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts involvesgathering relevant financial information, applying accounting policies and principles, and ensuring compliance with the legal framework.
Preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards
Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements
Performing in-depth financial analysis to inform on management decisions and report to Board, statutory or other bodies
Corporate restructure planning in preparation for the next stage of company growth
Implementing improvements to accounting processes and systems
Working closely with external parties including auditors
Preparation and filing of UK tax matters including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE and other specialist taxes
Coordinating the annual external audit process and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligation
Providing guidance and support to the wider finance team with regards to technical accounting, taxation and finance matters
Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults / Mental Capacity Act
Health & Safety

the requirements of the Data Protection Act and the companys ISO27001 accreditation. This includes, if required to do so, obtain, process and/or use information held on a computer in a fair and lawful way, to hold data only for the specified registered purposes and to use or disclose data only to authorised persons or organisations as instructed.
This list of duties and responsibilities is by not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications
Essential
Be ACA or ACCA qualified
Significant experience in financial control and compliance
Proficiency in Excel
Desirable
Have worked in Audit or practice
Experience
Essential
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Experience of coaching team members
The ability to influence colleagues at all levels, boith internally and externally
Experience of being self-sufficient, organised and be able to manage their own workload, demonstrate initiative and be able to meet tight deadlines
Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written
