About The Job:

As the Statutory Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with local statutory accounting and tax regulations for a number of our client's European entities. You will work closely with the General Accounting Team and country-specific outsourcers to prepare statutory accounts, maintain in-house documentation on statutory and corporation tax compliance requirements, and support various financial legislative requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare statutory accounts, including period 13 postings in Oracle, and analyse major P&L items
• Support the statutory audit process and prepare statutory financial accounts with some assistance from local outsourcers
• Maintain in-house documentation on statutory accounting and tax compliance processes
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and maintain book to tax reconciliations
• Collaborate with local outsourcers in the preparation of necessary tax returns and other monthly returns
• Support tax audits and reconcile annual US Gaap estimates of current and deferred CT charges
• Maintain legally required company secretarial records and ensure compliance with all financial business legislative requirements

Essential Criteria:

• Solid experience as a financial accountant, including experience in statutory accounts preparation and tax return preparation
• Understanding of statutory accounts preparation process and UK Gaap or statutory accounting in another jurisdiction

- Qualified (UK: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar European qualification), or qualified through experience

• Desirable:

• Knowledge of US Gaap and basic knowledge of rules driving corporation tax
• Experience in a retail environment and multinational organisation
• Statutory accounting/taxation experience in European countries excluding the UK
