The company are a Norfolk based manufacturer, specialising in steel structures and steel framed buildings for agricultural, commercial & industrial use across East Anglia. You will be part of an organisation at the top of their game - with extensive in-house production facilities, a family orientated atmosphere and supportive environment based on team work, experience and quality which means they attract the premier clients of East Anglia and are the "go to" choice in the region.

You will be responsible for estimating for delivering bespoke steel solutions as part of the Sales Department working within the Norwich office from 8:30-16:30, Monday to Friday (including a 30 minute lunch break within the and selling draughting Steel solutions and liaising with clients on the telephone.

The role:

• Produce detailed cost estimates and quotations for Steel solutions
• Undertake detailed and accurate "take offs" from ITT information and drawings.
• Use company in-house bespoke software (Training provided)
• Acquire third party quotes for specialist 'buy out options'
• Customer facing experience and good telephone communication skills are essential.
• Mentor and support Trainee Estimators
• Provide detailed cost estimates.
• Provide clear and accurate sales data
• Ensure smooth operations and delivery of quotes
• Recognise and maximise all commercial opportunities
• Provide financial reporting to Senior management as requested.
• Willingness to integrate and get on with the rest of the team.
• Able to deliver high standards of customer service to key clients.
• Work with the rest of the team to produce to produce smooth seamless outcomes for the customer.
• Liaising with clients by telephone.
• Liaising with the Surveyor to ensure accurate delivery of steel solutions and ultimately client satisfaction.
• Represent the company when presenting to clients.
• Office based role 8-4.30 Monday to Friday (inc. 30 minute lunch break) in the Poole Office.

The person:

• Solid knowledge and understanding of Steel
• Experience of Estimating
• Accuracy
• Desire to deliver high levels of customer service to important clients
• Willingness to listen and really understand client needs
• Ability to provide bespoke steel solutions based on clients actual needs.
• Ability to explain and sell solutions to clients based on clients actual needs
• Ability to commute daily to Norwich.
• Good customer service skill by Telephone
• Ability to communicate complex steel solutions
• Telephone Sales skill
• Ability to understand the bigger picture at all times to ensure reputational management.
• Ability to communicate to the high standards required with clients by telephone
• Willingness to continually want to improve and learn more about the steel industry in order to continue to provide the best bespoke solutions.
