About our Client:



Our client is a £50m turnover business that's currently seeking a Stock / Store Manager. As a business, they operate within the maintenance / building services sector of the construction industry, completing works for their clients that range across; planned / reactive, small works and PPMs.



Job Summary:



You will be working in the compound / stores building in Perivale, nearby the company office. Whereby, you will oversee all; materials, stock levels, condition of stock / materials, place and track orders of new stock to match against job requirements. Liaising between the company buyer / purchaser and building merchants will also be required. It is paramount, that you ensure the tradespeople / engineers have readily available stock to complete their jobs, or keep line managers updated on delayed stock orders.



Roles & Responsibilities:




  • To undertake works in connection with issuing of stores materials and the maintenance of stock condition and availability, liaising with Procurement department for stock requests, tracking order progress and receiving/distribution of goods within our small stores located in Perivale

  • Development and maintaining of records relating to goods in and out

  • Accurately and timely recording returns of materials

  • Distribution of PPE and maintenance of PPE register

  • To promote excellent Health and Safety practices, especially relating to the issuing of adequate PPE for plant/equipment distributed through the stores

  • To ensure actual stock level matches against stock records on company bespoke software

  • If stock levels drop, then promptly order and track

  • To carry out deliveries and collections of materials when required, to and from sites and building merchants / suppliers

  • Manage and supervise any additional staff required to work within stores

  • Stock checks and inventory – Daily mini stock take and quarterly full stock take

  • To respect the need for confidentiality, when processing personal/customer data

  • Assisting the procurement department with admin duties





Experience / Requirements:




  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Good levels of verbal and written communication skills

  • Electrical wholesale experience would be beneficial but not mandatory

  • Ability to conduct stock audits

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and use a range of computer systems





Systems / Software (previous experience of these systems is desirable not essential):




  • Microsoft Central 365 – 4PS (Accounting and Procurement system)




  • Job Logic – (Job Recording system)




  • Excel (Stock and price maintenance system)
