At its heart, our values can be summed in three words: Innovation, Integrity, and Independence.The roleAs the business is entering into an exciting phase of growth, an opportunity has arisen to add a Storage Engineer to the team, who will provide technical support on client Enterprise Computing systems.Role responsibilitiesWork as part of a team to provide daily and on-call technical support on file storage solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of data. These are 16 different storage technologies including things such as NetApp, Nutanix File, DellEMC and MS File ServersSupport new client onboarding activities from the project stage into business as usual.Support the implementation, configuration and ongoing management of the monitoring solution.Take ownership of Incident and Problem records, apply technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to methodically handle investigation activities, identify issues, restore services as quickly as possible and maintain updated records.Help support Major Incidents to ensure they are managed closely from initial response to resolution, including timely communications.Take ownership of Service Requests to fulfil these quickly and maintain up to date/accurate records.Support ongoing version releases, including testing and deployments.Collaborate with other client and Nephos IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and operation of technology with other systems and platforms.Identify technology or process improvements initiatives for standardisation to streamline and/or automation opportunities where possible.Create and maintain up to date knowledge articles or work instructions around your area of expertise, to help build a culture for sharing information and developing others.Skills/ExperienceMulti-year experience with supporting file-based storage systems (such as NetApp or Dell EMC) is requiredExperience of cloud file storage solutionsAn understanding of Active Directory is requiredExperience of being providing client support (either internal or external)Experience with Nutanix is preferableExperience with hardware installation, racking and stacking.ITIL Training & Certification would be preferableExperience in using Service Management ticketing systems.Good analysis, troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.Good technical aptitude to understand, use, and learn new technologies or processes.Demonstrates initiative and self-reliance in completing tasks and projects without requiring constant supervision or guidance.Strong customer centric attitude and interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Flexible, organised, and self-motivated.Legally able to work in the UK.Why Work With Us: At Nephos we are committed to creating an environment where you are proud to work.Health insurance which includes annual dental and vision allowanceHealth assured (employee assistance programme) includes access to counselling servicesTravel support if over 100 miles away from the office!Hybrid working from day 12 Social Impact days per year for volunteeringFun company and team social events once a monthWe love birthdays - receive a special gift!Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave3% yearly performance-related bonusOpportunity to work in the fastest growth area in the IT sales landscape – DataThe opportunity to buy and sell 5 days holidayPersonalised career road map and continuous developmentRecognition awards including employee of the month prize and annual awards awarding £4000 to spend on a holiday!Inclusion and diversity are paramount to us here at Nephos.
