As a Stores Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the business in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Your duties will be diverse and require meticulous attention to detail. You will be responsible for tasks related to receiving, storing, managing, distributing, shipping, and issuing equipment, materials, and supplies, along with other associated duties.



Main Duties & Responsibilities:




  1. Handling goods receipt, counting, and ERP data entry.

  2. Maintaining the warehouse, including stock movements and control using the ERP system.

  3. Allocating stock and preparing component kits for Works Packages.

  4. Ensuring the traceability of goods and materials.

  5. Preparing materials for shipment to external processors and handling their return after processing.

  6. Packing goods for dispatch according to industry standards or specific customer requirements.

  7. Arranging couriers and ensuring all shipments comply with Export Compliance regulations.

  8. Carrying out general maintenance activities.

  9. Driving duties as required.

  10. Undertaking additional tasks as requested by line management.



Qualifications:




  • Forklift License (preferred but not essential)

  • GCSEs in English and Maths, Grade 4 (or equivalent)



Experience:




  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment (preferred but not essential)



Skills & Abilities:




  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with computer systems (MS Office)

  • Versatile and able to multitask effectively

  • Good communication skills
