Stores Operative

Job Title: Stores Operative (Engineering)

Salary:

£12.00 per hour

Job Duties:

• Receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the Factory and Engineering departments
• Keeping accurate records of inventory levels and ensuring stock is organised efficiently
• Data Inputting stock counts onto formatted Excel Spreadsheets
• Performing regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies
• Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Manufacturing and Engineering equiptment and components
• Attention to detail is key
• Strong numeracy and Literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for inventory management
• Experience using Microsoft Excel

Education:

No specific educational requirements

Experience:

• Prior experience in an Engineering and/or stores environment preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of basic Engineering operations
• Ability to use forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided if necessary)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift licence - Counterbalance (desireable)
• Experience with inventory management software- Microsoft Excel

Working Conditions:

• This role may require lifting and carrying heavy items and can be working in varying temperatures
• All PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided.
