Stores Operator / Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Search Consultancy require an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to work for our client based in Bishopbriggs Glasgow. This position is on a temp to perm basis working full time hours.

Main duties will include:

- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and products

- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility

- Stack and organise products and materials in an efficient and safe manner

- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as inspecting for any damages or malfunctions

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

- Assist with inventory management by accurately recording materials and products moved

Qualifications:

- Valid forklift operator certification or license

- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production

- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for forklift operation

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to manoeuvre the forklift in tight spaces

- Physical stamina to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and operating the forklift

- Attention to detail to accurately record inventory information

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
