Our client who are a well-established player in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Stores Person on a contract basis to manage their warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records by regularly updating stock levels
- Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring quantities and quality match purchase orders
- Organise and store materials, tools, and equipment efficiently within the warehouse
- Prepare and package items for dispatch according to company standards
- Coordinate with internal departments to fulfil their material and equipment needs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse
- Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management
- Counter Balance forklift and Full UK driving licenses required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (licence preferred)
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours:
8.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay:
c�13.33 per hour (Depending on experience)
