Strategic Planning Manager

Our client, is seeking a Strategic Planning Manager to join their team in on a contract basis. This role will play a crucial part in shaping and managing planning policies within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing effective strategic planning policies and frameworks
• Leading the preparation and review of local plans and planning policy documents
• Conducting research and analysis to inform policy development and decision-making
• Engaging with stakeholders, including local communities, developers, and government bodies
• Ensuring compliance with national and regional planning regulations and guidelines
• Providing expert advice and guidance on planning policy matters to internal teams and external partners
• Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of planning policies and strategies
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve strategic objectives

Job Requirements:

• Experience in developing and implementing planning policies
• Strong understanding of national and regional planning regulations and guidelines
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in planning or a related field
