Strategic Workforce Planning Lead
12-month Contract

My Central Government client is looking to recruit an experienced Strategic Workforce Planning Lead be at the forefront of designing and delivering a Strategic Workforce Plan that underpins the employee value proposition for Digital and Data professionals across government.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead on modelling, analysing and forecasting the profession's workforce requirements, identifying workforce gaps to inform growth plans and talent needs.

* Develop and deliver a strategic workforce plan centred on 'build, borrow, buy, bot' partnering with the Government People Group strategic workforce planning centre of excellence. This plan will need to foster our profession's ability to be nimble and to adapt to a rapidly evolving organisational landscape.

* Develop a sourcing blueprint that sustains departments' resourcing decisions, reduces duplication of efforts and supports scalability by providing a consistent framework for resource management.

* Work with departments, providing data-driven insights and recommendations, to inform their workforce plans and people strategies.

* Set out the strategic narrative and influence senior leaders to action the changes needed to our workforce composition, partnering with Strategic teams, People and Finance functions.

* Map and model new skills requirements, organisation design and upskilling needs for Digital and Data.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Evidence of collecting, analysing, forecasting and interpreting complex data; you will identify patterns, evaluate complex problems and make informed workforce planning decisions.

* Experience in delivering and maturing workforce plans in large or complex organisations; you will be able to develop short and long-term workforce solutions in line with government needs.

* Demonstrable evidence of thinking critically, challenging assumptions and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

* A proven track record of driving organisational workforce change and transformation interventions in complex environments.

* Confidence in working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver within an Agile environment.
