R_269926 - Strategy & Climate Consultant to ManagerWhat can you expect:We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategy Consultant to join our growing team helping to transform the world of climate and risk consulting for some of the world’s most prestigious institutions. We have a mixture of climate PhDs, strategy consultants (ex- McKinsey, Bain, Oliver Wyman…) and physical risk, cyber, finance and other SME team members.Our ~25 person London-based team is treated as a global centre of excellence for complex climate and strategy consulting engagements, meaning we need capable individuals to sustain our global client impact, particularly at the experienced consultant/manager level. In all cases the role holders would be supported by a seasoned leadership team and capable pool of junior consultants.An interest in the themes of our work is essential, but extensive experience/qualification is not: our work is at the cutting edge of strategy and climate, supporting governments, international bodies and leading firms.What you will be rewarded with:We offer and embrace a hybrid working model that nurtures a collaborative working environment in the office 3 days per week allowing 2 days per week to be spent working on a remote basis.Competitive Benefits Package including: 27 days annual leave, up to 4 days flexible bank holidays, excellent pension contributions, private medical cover, life assurance, income protection, employee assistance program, plus a range of flexible benefits including the option to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday per year, cycle to work, dental insurance, health assessments plus many more.Generous Family Leave including:  6 months paid maternity leave, 4 months paid paternity leave, 6 months paid adoption leave plus shared parental leave options.  To help ease the transition when you return to work you will be able to work 8 weeks at 80% of your normal work pattern and receive 100% of your normal salary.We will rely on you to:Lead client-facing and internal strategy & climate projects (scale as relevant to experience)Help clients (e.g. insurers, corporates, etc) assess opportunities for strategic change, leveraging Marsh data and expertise via bespoke projectsLeverage subject matter experts across MMC to design and implement novel risk management, transfer, and product design structures for innovative clientsHelp organisations of all shapes and sizes access and leverage and benefit from climate risk analysis in a tangible and material approach, relevant to their businessesWhat you need to have: Previous consulting experience at a Consulting firm (e.g. top-tier Strategy firms) with project and senior stakeholder management experienceStrong core consulting skillset (e.g. hypothesis-driven analysis)Ability to ‘translate’ client questions to analytical questions to solveHigh level of quantitative/analytics skillsAbility to interact effectively with stakeholders at a senior levelsWhat makes you stand out:Previous experience of either risk, climate or strategy consultingDemonstrated ability to scope, and deliver packages of work as a teamDesire to grow consulting propositions and services, including experience across the sales cycleMarsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
