An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Streetlighting Electrician to come and join a busy client in the Lincolnshire area.
The main duties of the Streetlighting Electrician are:
Install, maintain, and repair streetlights, illuminated signs, and highway electrical equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure lighting systems meet safety standards.
Replace lamps, control gear, and other components as needed.
Work from height using MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) and ladders safely.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Liaise with team members, supervisors, and local authorities as required.
Respond to emergency call-outs for streetlight failures or electrical faults.
Requirements needed for the role:
Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2365/#####, or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS#####1).
Previous experience in streetlighting or highway electrical works (preferred).
G39 certification (Electrical Safety in the Highway).
Full UK driving licence
